Hello Strangers!

Oh my goodness, I haven't written since the beginning of May! I never updated my blog after Andrew's amazing/crazy arrival! Geeze... I'm behind! :)
Let's do a quick update!
-In June, I had the opportunity to switch to a day shift position! After 11 months on night shift and a couple days of prayer, I made the jump. Honestly this has been the hardest thing ever! I am a true night-owl, but I had/have no social life and I was/am hoping day shift would help me cultivate that! 12 hour days are a challenge! There are more people to deal with, more families, more interactions with doctors and other hospital staff... still a lot of things I need to discover! My goal is to make it on day shift for 6 months! (Why 6 months? I needed to give myself a goal, because believe me, this has been one of the most difficult transitions I have gone through. Some days I look at myself in the mirror and ask myself why nursing?) Into month 3, so we shall see how that goes...

-I have been spending a good amount of time with Jennifer and Andrew (since she was on maternity leave and now then summer break!) I have gotten the amazing opportunity to see my Bubbas (aka Andrew, Drew, Rolly Polly) grow. He is such a darling baby and I feel so blessed that I get to see so much of time and get to play an active role during this stage. I am so grateful for Jennifer, I feel doubly blessed! I never imagined that we would have such an amazing relationship and love that my sister is my best friend. I am starting to realize how sad I am going to be next week when she has to go back to work and Andrew gets to go to daycare...

-I feel like the past couple months I have been nonstop moving. I have been arranging my schedules to fit every one's events in and have been so fortunate to get to share special moments with people I love and care about. Lately it has left me feeling tired and I have been struggling with connecting with my new home. I have decided it's important to try to slow down and catch up on what is happening where I am at. The Lord has given me a little peace knowing that my home is here for now. A HUGE part of this goal is to find myself a church home. I greatly desire to be involved in a consist small group or bible study. (You can pray for me in this journey! Pray that I am able to have an open mind as I continue to visit churches to find that one!)
-What else! Oh, I finally bought myself a new laptop! Hence, probably the reason I feel that it's time to blog again! I also rediscovered Skype! AMAZING! I love seeing my friend's faces who live states away! It's refreshing!!!
I think that is it for now... :)
