a grown-up!
Thank you for the applause! (cheeseball) :) I have officially moved out into my own apartment.
After searching and praying, I finally narrowed it down and picked one. Last Saturday, the 22th, I officially signed my lease and got my ring of keys (literally a ring, I'm not quite sure what they all really open yet!) The storage unit got emptied, by two very nice men from my Dad's church and my empty apartment was filled with tons of boxes and plastic containers.
Then I got to go to work after being up all day long...
The next day my wonderful Mom came to help me organize and unpack. On Sunday night we did my first Walmart run; got the essentials (cleaning supplies, milk, a coffee maker and candy!). By the end of the night I had finished going through a majority of the boxes, making a pile for goodwill (6 big black trash bags full) and having the kitchen completely set up and everything in it put away! I did my first load of laundry and ran the dishwasher too.
On Monday, I can't really remember what we accomplished... but the highlight of the day was getting to see Baby Andrew! Jennifer had made an appointment for a 4D ultrasound, which is very cool... I got to go with Jennifer to see Baby Ivy's ultrasound, so I knew what to expect. BUT, let's just say, Andrew is going to be pretty darn cute and that's not just because I'm his Aunt! When you see Andrew, his cute little nose and his little grumpy face when they tried to move him... how can you not believe in God... what a miracle!
On Tuesday, the goal was bedroom and the hall closet.... everything fits! The closets are completely organized... barbies, prom dresses, bridesmaids dresses, cherish teddies, Christmas tree and everything you can think of fit! Amen.
The only thing left to to do is sort through my 12 boxes of books and notebooks, yes I said 12!!! I haven't had enough energy to do that yet... Still looking for a perfect TALL brown bookshelf. Besides that, it's time to decorate! My bathroom is big and white, I haven't bought anything for it... and my living room looks like a miniature version of the old Lakeside house.
Everything is set up except Internet and cable... for my one week of apartment living it's been a little challenging :) thankful for my droid! I set up my TV and DVD player, and have already started my 90's chick flick marathons.... I think a Felicity Marathon will be in the near future. Cable may come at the end of February, we'll see...
No pictures yet... sorry.
After 1 1/2 years, it feels amazing to unpack and feel settled. Feels like home already.

Your apartment is darling and you will have so much fun decorating!! The neutral colors on the walls will let you do any colors you like. I want you to get your TV cable hooked up so you won't be lonely :) Thanks for letting me come and help. Love MOM
