My sister and her friends Robin and Desiree, bought tickets back in September for the midnight showing New Moon... unfortunately Desiree got sick and was unable to attend. (You were missed!) Jennifer called me around 6pm and asked if I wanted to drive up and come see the movie, and I of course said yes! (I was thrilled to get out of the house also)
Having read all the books (and then talking Jennifer into reading them) I have become somewhat of a skeptic when it comes to these types of movies. I waited to see the first Twilight movie til it came out in video, and I can say I wasn't impressed at all. Matter of fact, I laughed throughout the whole thing because I thought it was ridiculous.
So, heading up to see this movie, I was trying to have no expectations... hoping a new director would make it worth seeing. When I met up with Jennifer and Robin at the theater around 9pm, we were fortunate to stand with Jennifer's old yearbook students (she is like a celebrity with teenagers haha) in the front of the line! These 7th, 8th and 9th grades got in line around 1pm.... I forgot what it was like to be in middle school and be around them... it was very interesting.
The movie turned out to be surprisingly good... I liked it. There were definitely some cheesy parts and big parts that got left out, but wasn't too bad.
I recommend it!
